How do I clean grout?

Has the grout in your bathroom or kitchen started to lose its original color? Grout can be a tricky area to clean effectively, but fortunately there are some options out there. One natural remedy that you can try is to mix some baking soda with water. Rub this solution along all the grout lines, then spray with a 50/50 water/vinegar solution. Once you see the bubbles, you will know that the cleaning process has started. You can also try using a solution of 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, 3/4 cup baking soda and 1 tbsp. dish soap and scrubbing the grout with a brush. Alternatively, you can try using a steam cleaner, which will easily clean and disinfect grout.

Beware, though, that these methods will eliminate any grout sealer that had been applied. Vinegar will also discolor certain tiles. If you are looking for simple and effective grout cleaning, it is recommended you leave it to the pros. They will know what products to use to ensure maximum clean, without damaging your tiles or the grout sealer.
